Thanks again to all of our listeners for tuning in over the last three semesters to Red, Blue and Everything in Between in its various incarnations. It’s been a great time for all of us, and we’re very thankful for all of the input you’ve given us the whole time.
We’re especially thankful for our most recent accolade — WTBU’s 2009 Talk Show of the Year award! Thanks to all who voted. Mel, Ben and I were all happy to receive the award, and Dave was equally excited about the win, even though very important things kept him from appearing at the ceremony in person.
Mel & me just before receiving WTBU's 2009 Talk Show of the Year Award.
We’ll be taking a few months off from the show, as Mel is off looking for Hugh Jackman in Australia, and Dave tries to finish off the course load of a second-semester senior in Engineering. Be sure to listen in to any shows you missed, and we’ll be back on air before you know it.
Thanks so much for tuning in this semester. I’ll speak on behalf of myself, Mel, Dave, and Ben when I say that we all had a great time putting together the show each week (I hope that’s what they’d say, at least.). I’ll be uploading our final show of the semester soon, but for now, here’s the incredible game that we played for the last show:

Vote for us for WTBU’s Listener’s Choice Award! Head over to wtburadio.org and show us some love by voting for us on the right-hand side. We’d really appreciate it.
Also, I’m getting pumped for our last show of the semester on Monday. Be sure to listen in Monday from 2 to 4 PM for a very special show.

That was a show, alright! Maybe I was cranky. Maybe I over did it with the sound bytes. But I like to consider myself the “everything in between” of this program, so you should have come to expect that by now. I’ll be uploading the show soon, but here are some things we talked about:
Yes, I actually donated $1 USD to the UN World Food Program, as evidenced by this snippet of my Bank of America statement. You’re welcome, Mel.
Generosity
And here’s the video of that ignorant Palin supporter from MSNBC:

As I discussed on the show today, Senator Robert Byrd (D- West Virginia) will be the longest-serving member of Congress in United States history as of Wednesday (knock on wood). In honor of this accomplishment, I played this audio clip on the air, but you’ll also want to check out the accompanying video below:
Also, check out the full story of Obama’s giving of an iPod to the Queen of England. Turns out that it was loaded with video of the Queen’s visit to the US in 2007 and was accompanied by an even more special gift. Maybe Obama isn’t a jerk after all. At least I don’t think he is.
